Calendar
MEG Calendar: Introduction
Scheduling the MEG Core is now done exclusively through Outlook.
NEW MEG Calendar Link
Researchers are now in full control of their own appointments, while MEG Core controls approval of appointments before they are added to the lab calendar.
Please remember:
- The calendar is reserved on a first-come/first-served basis.
- Plan your appointments such that you are not running into the next group's reservation.
- Due to recent heavy scan load, scheduling is currently capped at 12 hours per week per study during primetime hours (9am-5pm) so that all users have access to the MEG.
Instructions for using the calendar:
Creating Appointments
1. Create an event on your calendar:
- Event name should be:
- PI/Researcher, Protocol #, HV or ***patient
- For medical procedures, list procedure
- For supine, list supine
- PI/Researcher, Protocol #, HV or ***patient
- Remember: Appointment details will be public on the MEG Calendar; do not put any PII in the appointment.
2. Add "MEGCoreSchedule" as the invited guest and submit.
- Pay attention to the responses:
- If it's open on the calendar, it will be accepted.
- If it's blocked on the calendar, it will be declined.
- If there's only a minor conflict (30 mins), a new time will be proposed.
This method for scheduling requests gives you full control over your own appointments. You can cancel or adjust the time as needed.
View "MEGCoreSchedule" alongside your NIH Outlook calendars
Adding the calendar allows you to see it in your calendars on Outlook, so you can check it easily.
This is for convenience of viewing, but will not give you permissions to schedule appointments. Use the method above for scheduling appointments.
On Office365 web or updated versions of Outlook:
- Click "Add from Directory"
- Select your NIH account
- Select "MEGCoreSchedule" (not the MEG Core Facility account ending in "@bookings.nih.gov", this is a separate account)
- Click "Add to" and select "My calendars" from the drop-down menu.
- Click "Add". The MEG Core Schedule will now appear in your calendars.
On Legacy versions of Outlook, this may need some extra work. Contact Anna to work through this.
