Add "MEGCoreSchedule" to your NIH Outlook calendars

Adding the calendar allows you to see it in your calendars on Outlook, so you can check it easily.

  1. Click "Add from Directory"
  2. Select your NIH account
  3. Select "MEGCoreSchedule" (not the MEG Core Facility account ending in "@bookings.nih.gov", this is a separate account)
  4. Click "Add to" and select "My calendars" from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click "Add"

The MEG Core Schedule will now appear in your calendars. This is for convenience of viewing, but will not give you permissions to schedule appointments.

Instead, to add to the schedule, you'll make an event on your own calendar and invite the MEGCoreSchedule as a guest.

Creating Appointments

  1. Create an event on your calendar:
  • Event name should be:
    • PI/Researcher, Protocol #, HV or ***patient
      • For medical procedures, list procedure
      • For supine, list supine
Remember: Appointment details will be public on the MEG Calendar; do not put any PII in the appointment.
  1. Add "MEGCoreSchedule" as the invited guest and submit.
  • Pay attention to the responses:
    • If it's open on the calendar, it will be accepted.
    • If it's blocked on the calendar, it will be declined.
    • If there's only a minor conflict (30 mins), a new time will be proposed.

This method for scheduling requests gives you full control over your own appointments. You can cancel or adjust the time as needed.
