Instructions for using the calendar:
1. Add "MEGCoreSchedule" to your NIH Outlook calendars:
- Add from directory — select your NIH account
- Select "MEGCoreSchedule" (not the MEG Core Facility account ending in "@bookings.nih.gov", this is a separate account)
Adding the calendar allows you to see it in your calendars on Outlook, so you can check it easily.
To add to the schedule, you'll make an event on your own calendar and invite the MEGCoreSchedule as a guest.
2. Create your events on your own calendar:
- Event name should be:
- PI/Researcher, Protocol #, HV or ***patient
- For medical procedures, list procedure
- For supine, list supine
- PI/Researcher, Protocol #, HV or ***patient
Remember: Appointment details will be public on the MEG Calendar; do not put any PII in the appointment.
3. Add "MEGCoreSchedule" as the invited guest:
- Pay attention to the responses:
- If it's open on the calendar, it will be accepted.
- If it's blocked on the calendar, it will be declined.
- If there's only a minor conflict (30 mins), a new time will be proposed.
This method allows us to have control over who can book the calendar while also allowing you to control the details of your own appointment.
